Boys Varsity Golf vs Exeter Academy on 03/29/2025
The match featured eight golfers from each team playing 18 holes at Peddie Golf Club, with the top five scores from each side contributing to the team total.
Andrew Ma led all scorers with a 74. After opening with a birdie, Ma carded a 40 on the front nine but then birdied on 10, 11, 12 and 18 to tally a 34 and seal the best round of the day.
Captain Rishi Shah showed similar resilience, rebounding from a 43 on the front nine with a one-under 35 on the back. He birdied two of the three par-5s on the final nine to tie for the third best round of the match.
Freshman Brayden Chen also posted a milestone, carding the best round of his young career with an 80 — good for third-best on the team and tied for fifth overall.
“This has been a great first week,” Head Coach Ben Bickford said. “We’ve had two local wins and now a strong team performance against Exeter. Our players have been working hard every day, and to see so many shoot well this early in the season is really impressive.”
The Falcons next travel to Bedens Brook Country Club to face The Pennington School on Thursday, April 3 at 3:30 p.m.
