Boys Varsity Basketball vs Mercer Basketball Tournament – vs. Westtown School on 12/18/2025

The Peddie varsity boys basketball team (9-2) defeated Westtown School, 70-67, during Day 1 of 3 of the Mercer Basketball Tournament, on the road at The Hill School. This was a rematch of the 52nd Annual PSIT Championship Game on Dec. 7.

The Falcons trailed 54-47 after three quarters of play. Peddie trailed 67-63, until Jordan Moton cut the deficit to 1 with a 3-pointer with 1:55 left in the fourth quarter. On the next possession, Josiah Broko had a steal and Sean Griffin would make a hook shot with 1:15 left to give Peddie a 68-67 lead. The defense then forced a contested shot. On the next possession, Jordan Moton made a lay-in shot with 19.6 seconds remaining, extending the Peddie lead to 70-67. The Peddie defense then forced a steal, which Jordan Moton grabbed before getting fouled with 3.7 seconds left. After the inbounds play, Ethan Nelson dribbled the ball out, sealing the victory.

Sean Griffin scored a team-high 20 points. Ethan Nelson added 15 points. Emir Deldag added 12 points on four 3-pointers.

The Falcons next face Western Reserve Academy during Day 2 of 3 of the Mercer Basketball Tournament, on the road at The Hill School on Friday, Dec. 19 at 3:30 p.m.
