Boys Varsity Basketball vs College Achieve – Asbury Park on 2/4/2026
After trailing 69-64 after three quarters, Sean Griffin knocked down a corner 3-pointer to give Peddie a 70-69 lead with 7:40 left in the fourth quarter. Josiah Broko made it an 82-80 lead for the Falcons on a corner 3-pointer with 3:46 left.
With 1:07 remaining, Gabe Hornberger made both free throws for an 84-82 lead. Josiah Broko grabbed the rebound on the next College Achieve Asbury Park possession. With 26.1 seconds left, College Achieve Asbury Park turned the ball over. Gabe Hornberger was fouled and converted both free throws with 26.1 seconds remaining, extending the lead to 86-82. On the next College Achieve Asbury Park possession, Josiah Broko tapped a rebound to Ethan Nelson, who secured the ball and was fouled. After Nelson shot both free throws, Jordan Moton grabbed the offensive rebound to run out the clock.
Gabe Hornberger scored a game-high 30 points. Josiah Broko added a season-high 22 points. Sean Griffin tallied 18 points.
The Falcons next host Hightstown High School for the Hightstown Cup on Saturday, Feb. 7 at 8 p.m. at Erik B. Hanson ’83 Field House, Court 1.
