Boys Varsity Soccer vs Montclair Kimberley Academy on 9/15/2025

The Peddie varsity boys soccer team (3-1) defeated Montclair Kimberley Academy, 4-2, at home. The Falcons trailed 2-1 at halftime and scored three goals in the second half. Christian Tharney scored two goals for the Falcons, both in the second half, both assisted by John Giblin. Tommy Kim scored the go-ahead goal off of his own rebound to make it a 3-2 Peddie lead with 24:33 left in the second half. Blake Romanelli scored a goal off an assist from Tommy Kim with 31:50 left in the first half. Goalkeeper Pote Sophonsiri made 15 saves, including a diving stop to his right off of his fingertips with 18:03 remaining in the second half, then another with 3:28 left which he caught. The Falcons next travel to Rutgers Preparatory School on Saturday, Sept. 20 at 1 p.m.
