Weekends at Peddie
Tour guide and student body co-president Priyanka Seth knows how to make the most of a weekend at Peddie, on and off campus.
Weekends at Peddie can be different for everyone. You can find Peddie students playing lawn games on Center Campus, enjoying brunch in the dining hall or catching up on sleep. However, I love to spend my weekends on Saturday Night Activities, more commonly known as SNAs.
Not only on Saturdays (or at night, for that matter), these activities vary from mall trips to whitewater rafting. I love these trips because they have created so many common experiences and memories for me and my friends.
One example would be when my best friend and I went whitewater rafting together. I learned so many things about her and her past experiences with the ocean.
The Broadway trips are always a highlight of my year. Being able to go see plays on Broadway with my friends is always so much fun! Every bus ride back, my friends and I always listen to the soundtracks of the musicals and debrief about what we thought of the show.
On the days that I decide not to go on an SNA or Broadway trip, I stay and hang out with my friends. Even if I don’t leave campus, there’s always something to do and I have done so many activities that are just as fun as going off campus. With gingerbread house building competitions, karaoke nights and Find A Teacher (a hide and seek game where the teachers hide and students seek), I never find myself bored on campus.
