JV Boys
Indoor Track – Varsity Coed at Ocean Breeze Invational
Courtney Cane, Lily Gordon, Tessa Hughes, Erin Tam and Ely Ting of Peddie varsity girls indoor track and field competed at the 10th Annual Ocean Breeze Invitational at Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex.
Tessa Hughes set her ninth school record. She broke the pentathlon school record, and she wrote the long jump school record, while competing in the pentathlon.
She jumped 17-1 in the long jump while competing at the pentathlon, breaking the previous school record of 16-9 set by Louisa Kausch in 2020, according to head coach Tim Brennan. A ninth school record also sets a record for individual school record, both male and female.
Courtney Cane also broke her own record in the 1-mile run in 5:04.02. The previous record was broken earlier in the year (January) at the Millrose Trials.
The varsity boys and varsity girls indoor track teams will compete in the Princeton High School Invitational on Tuesday, Feb. 4 at 7 p.m at Jadwin Gymnasium at Princeton University.
Indoor Track – Varsity Coed at Ocean Breeze Invational
The Peddie varsity boys indoor track and field team competed at the 10th Annual Ocean Breeze Invitational at Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex.
Eric Cho set a school record in the pentathlon, scoring 2,614 points, according to head coach Tim Brennan. The boys 4×400-meter relay consisting of Baker Pott, Dasyer Bullock, Dylan Patel, and Luke Chon placed first in Heat 4 in 3:32.45 and qualified for the Eastern States Championships on Tuesday, March 4 at The Armory Track and Field Center.
Courtney Cane, Lily Gordon, Madeline Hughes, Tessa Hughes, Imani Jones, Erin Tam and Ely Ting will compete at the 10th Annual Ocean Breeze Invitational at Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex on Sunday, Feb. 2. The varsity boys and varsity girls indoor track teams will compete in the Princeton High School Invitational on Tuesday, Feb. 4 at 7 p.m at Jadwin Gymnasium at Princeton University.
Basketball – Varsity Boys at Haverford School
The Peddie varsity boys basketball team (11-11) fell to Haverford School, 47-46, the road. Haverford made a layup to give the Fords a 47-46 lead with 11.1 seconds left in the fourth quarter. London Carson scored a team-high 12 points. Will Warren added 10 points. The Falcons next travel to Perkiomen School on Wednesday, Feb. 5 at 6:30 p.m.
Swimming – Varsity Coed at Mid Atlantic Prep League Championships

The Peddie varsity swimming team competed in the 2025 MAPL Swimming Championships at Lawrenceville School. Both the boys and girls finished second out of seven teams.
The Peddie swimmers showcased remarkable grit and versatility at the MAPL meet, stepping up in a variety of events outside of our typical lineup to support the team’s efforts, head coach Emmett Walling said. In an impressive performance, the girls team set three new MAPL meet records:
Girls 200-yard medley relay: Hannah Bateman (Backstroke, 25.60), Mary Bao (Breaststroke, 29.57), Zoe Tashjian (Butterfly, 26.01) and Lola Early (Freestyle, 23.77).
Additionally, Hannah Bateman set two individual meet records in the following events:
Girls 200-yard IM: 2:04.73
Girls 100-yard backstroke: 55.10
On the individual side, freshman Pablo Li had a standout performance, winning the boys 50-yard freestyle with a notable time of 21.41, and just narrowly missing first in the boys 100-yard freestyle. He was on the heels of Mercersburg Academy post-grad Sebastien de Fabrique (46.61), finishing second with a time of 46.89.
For the girls, Lola Early had a strong showing, winning both the girls 50-yard freestyle (23.95) and girls 100-yard freestyle (52.14). Junior Shea McGlynn also posted a fantastic swim in the girls 500-freestyle, setting a season-best of 5:04.53. And to finish off the meet, Mary Bao earned a win in the girls 100-yard breaststroke and sent the team into the girls 400-yard freestyle relay with great energy.
The Falcons next compete at the Easterns Interscholastic Swimming and Diving Championships from Thursday, Feb. 13 – Sunday, Feb. 15.
Basketball – JV Boys at Haverford School
The Peddie junior varsity boys basketball team (9-3) fell to Haverford School, 45-43, on the road. The Falcons next travel to The Hill School on Thursday, Feb. 6 at 4:30 p.m.
Basketball – Varsity Girls at Kimberton Waldorf School
The Peddie varsity girls basketball team (1-11) fell to Kimberton Waldorf School, 41-38, on the road. Aisha Caban scored a team-high 15 points. Lexie Loughran added nine points. Samantha Wetmore tallied eight points. The Falcons next travel to Nottingham High School on Wednesday, Feb. 5 at 4:30 p.m.
Wrestling – Varsity Coed at Mid Atlantic Prep League Championships

The Peddie varsity wrestling team competed in the 2025 MAPL Wrestling Championships at Lawrenceville School. The Falcons went 2-2 on the day and placed third out of five teams. Peddie fell to The Hill School (48-35), defeated Lawrenceville School (55-22), defeated Mercersburg Academy (45-36) and fell to Blair Academy (74-0).
Several Falcons recorded multiple wins individually, including Zane Shama (106 pounds), Ryan Horner (113 pounds), AJ Stover (126 pounds), Jack Stewart (132 pounds), Massi Sheinin (150 pounds), John Maltez (165 pounds) and Connor Pawliczak (175 pounds).

Basketball – Varsity Boys vs. George School
The Peddie varsity boys basketball team (11-10) fell to George School, 77-65, at home. Will Warren scored a team-high 17 points. Jayden Moton added 16 points. The Falcons next travel to Haverford School on Saturday, Feb. 1 at 3 p.m.
Basketball – JV Boys vs. George School
The Peddie junior varsity boys basketball team (9-2) defeated George School, 60-52, at home.
Devin Dzwolak scored a team-high 16 points as four Falcons tallied double-figures in points. Josiah Broko and Ryan Mahoney added 13 points. Jack Mahoney had 11 points.
The Falcons made a push late in the fourth quarter. Ryan Mahoney got to the basket, drew the foul and made the layup. He knotted the score at 50 after the old-fashioned 3-point play with 1:54 left in the fourth quarter.
Josiah Broko drove inside and drew the foul, before making the second of two free throws with 1:43 left for a 51-50 lead.
Devin Dzwolak drove inside and drew the foul, before making the ensuing free throw for a 54-52 lead with 1:29 left.
Jack Mahoney was fouled and made both free throws to increase the Peddie lead to 56-52 with 41.6 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter.
Devin Dzwolak was fouled and made both free throws to give Peddie a 58-52 lead with 24.5 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter.
JT Rulewich was fouled and made both free throws for a 60-52 lead with 19.3 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter.
The Falcons next travel to Haverford School on Saturday, Feb. 1 at 1:30 p.m.
Wrestling – Varsity Coed at Steinert High school – Holy Cross
The Peddie varsity wrestling team fell to Hamilton East-Steinert (68-9) and defeated Steinert-Holy Cross (51-22) in a tri-meet at Steinert High School. Ryan Horner (113 pounds) and Massi Sheinin (150 pounds) won both matches on the day.

Basketball – Varsity Girls vs. Academy of the New Church
The Peddie varsity girls basketball team (1-10) defeated Academy of the New Church, 51-46, at home.
Lexie Loughran scored a team-high 17 points, with 16 in the second half. Aisha Caban added 12 points. Samantha Wetmore tallied 11 points.
Down 45-44, Natalie Muenzen’s jumper gave Peddie a 46-45 lead with 2:03 left in the fourth quarter.
Lexie Loughran increased the lead to 48-45 with 1:16 left on a layup, on an assist from Aisha Caban.
With 19.2 seconds left, Samantha Wetmore made the first of two free throws for a 49-45 lead.
Academy of the New Church made a free throw to make it 49-46 with 10.9 seconds left.
With nine seconds remaining, Sarah Naddelman made both free throws for a 51-46 lead.
The Falcons next travel to Kimberton Waldorf School on Friday, Jan. 31 at 4 p.m.
Basketball – JV Boys at Springside Chestnut Hill Academy
The Peddie junior varsity boys basketball team (8-2) fell to Springside Chestnut Hill Academy, 66-59, in overtime on the road. Devin Dzwolak scored a team-high 18 points. Josiah Broko added 12 points. The Falcons next host George School on Thursday, Jan. 30 at 4:30 p.m. at Erik B. Hanson ’83 Field House, Court 1.
