AP Spanish Language and Culture

Prerequisite: Spanish III Honors, Spanish IV, or Spanish IV Honors, and Permission of the Department
This course is designed to prepare students to excel in the AP Spanish course as well as the AP examination. The course follows the guidelines of the College Board AP Spanish Language course and is considered the equivalent of a third-year college course. Students focus on communicative skills, grammar, composition, vocabulary and work with AP exercises. Themes covered are the family and communities, contemporary life, beauty and aesthetics, public and personal identities, world challenges, and science and technology.
Note: Students taking this course are required to take the AP Spanish Language and Culture exam.
