Applied Physics: Sound & Music

Terms: 1 (not offered every term).
Grades: 11, 12, PG
Prerequisite: Physics with a minimum B.

Applied Physics can be a year-long course or if needed, taken on a term-by-term basis, designed to introduce students to the applications of topics covered in introductory physics. The course will be project-based, with each term having a different focus. Each term will have a different focus with topics varying from astrophysics to music.

Note: This is the first in a series of three one-term courses. Applied Physics: Modern Physics will follow in the winter, and Applied Physics: Experimental Physics will take place in the spring. Students can take one, two, or all three courses. This course does not prepare students for any AP Physics exam.
