Organic Chemistry

Grades: 11, 12, PG
Prerequisite: At least one AP Science course (may be concurrently enrolled).

Organic chemistry differs from many chemistry courses in that there is nearly no math and it is heavily concept€ driven. In this course, an activity and experiment€driven approach will be taken to introduce essential topics. If you want to know what the big deal is with 2,4,6€ trinitrotoluene, what boats and chairs have to do with cyclic molecules, and why the letters R and S can mean the difference between life and death, this is the class for you! Students who are interested in a STEM college degree or pursuing pre€medical/pharmacy/dental programs are especially encouraged to enroll! No textbook is required for this course.
