Back At It: Raymond Cabot Returns for Second Stint as Director of Admission
Raymond Cabot P’09 ’12 has assumed the role of The Peddie School’s director of admission. Cabot brings vast experience and deep knowledge of the Peddie community as he returns to the position.

“I am truly delighted to be returning to the Peddie Admission Office. The students at Peddie are at the heart of all that we do, and I am excited to work with a talented team to craft a student body whose excitement, curiosity and character define our community,” Cabot said. “I have missed the opportunity to share the transformational nature of the Peddie experience with prospective students and their families.”

Cabot began his career at Peddie in 1986 as a history teacher, a department he would eventually go on to chair. He has also worked in the admission and college counseling departments, and served as a dorm supervisor. In addition, he coached the girls varsity soccer team for 16 years, securing multiple championships and a spot in the Peddie Sports Hall of Fame in 2007.

Cabot first became Peddie’s director of admission in 2005 and led the department for 12 years. In 2017, Cabot was selected as the assistant head for strategic planning to guide Peddie in accordance with the strategic plan advanced by Peddie’s Board of Trustees. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he demonstrated leadership as the head of the school’s COVID Team, coordinating the work of six different operational teams as they developed the plans that facilitated the safe reopening of campus in the fall of 2020.

Having been both a Peddie teacher and parent, Cabot deeply understands the Peddie experience. He has played pivotal roles in guiding incoming freshmen to choose Peddie and assisting seniors through their college decision process. He knows our students in the classroom, on the athletic field and in the dorms, bringing a holistic perspective to his new role.

Cabot returns to the role of director of admission following the departure of Molly Dunne, who has moved to Massachusetts with her family. Peddie expresses gratitude for Dunne’s seven years of leadership.
