Capital Funds

Capital improvements are only possible with the philanthropic support of donors. Recent capital projects include new and renovated dorms, the Zhao and Li Family Fitness and Exercise Center, and the Zen D. Rizzuto-Flancbaum ’19 Rowing Facility, located within the Center. Thanks to our capital fund donors for providing so much for our entire community.

Thank you for the gifts you and many others have provided to support The Peddie Fund, the endowment, and capital projects like the athletic center expansion, including all facets of the new Zhao and Li Family Fitness and Exercise Center.

With construction having been completed in time for the beginning of the school year, we’re seeing hundreds of students enjoy the expanded opportunities to incorporate fitness and exercise into their lives. On a daily basis, teams of student-athletes work alongside our strength & conditioning coach in a new state-of-the-art weight room; we have upwards of 70 rowers that can erg and train in the new Zen D. Rizzuto-Flancbaum ’19 Rowing Facility; our golfers are able to utilize either of two golf simulators; and, of course, the cardio space is buzzing all hours of the day. One of my advisees commented, ‘It’s pretty cool looking out on Shuman Field during a workout,’ and I have to agree with him.

“Our ability to provide this experience to current and future students is the direct result of support from people like you.”

Complementing these brick-and-mortar upgrades, we continue to evolve other aspects of our program, providing leadership and team-dynamic training for our athletes, establishing our Foundation Program for all Junior Varsity level teams, enlivening the end-of-year sports awards banquet, integrating yoga and mobility into our warm-ups and cool-downs, increasing our livestream capabilities and providing opportunities for teams to take overnight trips, to name a few.

Over the last year, we’ve stressed the importance of a philosophy grounded in ‘Education Through Athletics.’ We’ve been intentional about highlighting how athletics often serve as an important vehicle to teach our kids. Whether a student is inexperienced and trying something new, or if they’ve been playing for a while and aspire to play at the collegiate level, our goal remains the same: develop them emotionally, physically and socially. Our ultimate goal is to provide an experience that will empower Peddie kids into the future.

Our ability to provide this experience to current and future students is the direct result of support from people like you. So, on behalf of Athletics, our student-athletes and the broader community, here’s expressing a heartfelt thank you!

Thanks to you!
