Jeffrey Mohr, Class of 1974
Playing hockey for the first time as a 10th grader, Jeff quickly moved up from the third line wing to starting defenseman. He became a fixture there for the next two years. In lacrosse Mo improved so rapidly that he became one of Peddie’s few 9th grade varsity starters ever and one of New Jersey’s rare three-time All-State players, earning first-team honors his senior year. Thanks in great measure to Jeff’s spirited leadership, his ’74 team’s 14-4 record set a new mark for Peddie lacrosse success.
Although his winning nine varsity letters is significant in itself, what sets Jeff apart is that he earned them with such enthusiasm and commitment that he inspired those around him. These same properties have been key in Jeff’s starting two different high school lacrosse programs, a youth league and a summer league. Receiving a number of honors for his considerable community involvement, Jeff is most proud of being a prime mover in the Promise Keepers of Southern Delaware.
