Joseph R. Wilbert, Class of 1981

Wilbert was inducted in 1981 for boys soccer. He captained the 1979 varsity soccer team and scored his first goal of the season in a 4-3 win over Solebury. Despite suffering a career-ending injury soon afterwards, he was still named first-team all-state, plus all-county and all-prep. He was a spiritual leader of the 1980 team, even though he could not play. Wilbert has an award named after him at Peddie.
