Laptop Return Instructions
Seniors, PGs and those NOT returning to Peddie in the fall:
On June 30 the Technology Office will disable all accounts (including Gmail, Drive, Calendar, etc.) for those students who are graduating or not returning in the fall. That means the account will continue to exist, but you won’t be able to log into it. The account will exist only so as to forward email until December 31 when the account will be deleted entirely. That means that after December 31, 2025, if someone sends an email to your Peddie email address, the message will bounce back as undeliverable. Therefore, some things you should do before June 30:
- Create another email account (Gmail, Yahoo, your home ISP)
- Set your Peddie account to forward mail to that account. Instructions can be found here.
- Share/update your new email address with important people (or at least those that you want to reach you) like college admission folks, social media sites and your parents.
- Use Google Transfer to move stuff in email and Google Drive to another Google account. Instructions can be found here. You must have a Gmail account for this to work.
- Send an email to techhelp@peddie.org to let us know if you have ANY questions or need any help with any of the items above.
Laptop Return Information
IMPORTANT: Your laptop will be used by someone else next year so you MUST remove stickers and markings before turning it in.
Laptop return (with AC Adapter & Digitizer Pen/Stylus) is on Monday, May 19 thru Thursday, May 22, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Technology Center on the ground floor of Annenberg Hall. If you fail to turn in your laptop on time your accounts will be disabled. Also, failure to turn in your laptop will exclude you from participating in the Senior Dinner on the Friday before graduation. Getting senior laptops back before graduation is absolutely essential. If you need an extension for a school-related reason, let the Tech Department know by sending an email to techhelp@peddie.org as soon as possible to request an extension.
Backup your files before you turn in your laptop!
There are many options for backing up files, for instance:
* Google Drive account attached to a personal account
* External hard drive or USB flash drive
* DropBox or other online cloud storage account

You received a separate email about this, please review it. Notably, be aware that on June 30, the Tech Office will disable all accounts (including Gmail, Drive, Calendar, etc.) for those students who are graduating or not returning in the fall.
