Theater Foundations

Terms: 1
Grades: 9

Theater Foundations serves as a comprehensive introduction to the dramatic arts, with an emphasis on developing a student’s speaking abilities, creativity, and overall theatrical awareness. As such, this highly-collaborative course utilizes exercises in vocal production and diction, improvisation, American-style “method acting,” creative writing, and play analysis. Students also explore playwriting, directing, film, theater history, technical theater, and public speaking.
