Photography II

Terms: 1 (not offered every term)
Grades: 10, 11, 12, PG
Prerequisite: Photography I

This course is an opportunity for students to sharpen the technical and conceptual skills they began to develop in Photography I. Projects include investigations of landscape, personal narrative, documentary, and form, as well as a further exploration into color theory and black and white photography. Students will utilize Adobe Lightroom as their daily software platform, and the class will include digital manipulation with Adobe Photoshop. In addition, students are exposed to the work of contemporary artists who are using photography to address political, social, and philosophical issues. We ask students to provide their own digital cameras whenever possible. (Digital SLR cameras are available for loan through the arts department).
