Physics
Grades: 10, 11, 12, PG
Prerequisite: Successful completion of Problem Solving: Algebra 2 & Geometry.
A laboratory-based course surveying the main ideas of “classical” physics: motion, force, and energy; waves and sound and light and optics. Extensive use is made of personal computers, both in lab as data collection and analysis tools and in class for model-building, simulations, and tutorials. Problem-solving is emphasized throughout the course, and students who enroll in it should be comfortable with mathematical manipulations. Mathematical Physics is designed for students interested in pursuing engineering, life science, or premedical curricula in college.
