Join our multiple award-winning robotics team and dive headfirst into the exciting world of robots! We are Peddie Robotics, also known as Team 5895, and we are all about teamwork. Our three student sub-teams – Engineering, Programming and Finance & Marketing – work in tandem to prepare for an incredible challenge: the annual FIRST Robotics Championship.
About FIRST
The FIRST Robotics Championship is a highly competitive and wildly exciting challenge that draws over 3,700 robotics teams across 28 countries. Each year, students design, build and program a robot optimized to complete the challenges set by FIRST, while cultivating sponsorships to ensure that the only limit on what they can do is their own imaginations.
Our team works out of the Izzo Design Laboratory: a state-of-the-art, 3,400 square foot building designed specifically for robotics. The engineering lab on the lower floor features advanced fabrication capabilities, including a CNC mill, CNC laser and 3D printer, while the upper floor serves as a practice field.
I came to Peddie for robotics. It’s probably the most transformative experience I’ve had. It’s cemented my love for engineering. It’s cemented my love of teamwork.”
