The Peddie varsity boys baseball team (1-0) defeated Nottingham High School, 7-6, in a season opener. The Falcons scored a go-ahead run in the top of the sixth inning.

Brody Buchner went 2-for-2 with four RBI, one run scored and four walks. He also earned the win on the mound, pitching four innings, allowing one unearned run on four hits, struck out four and walked one.

Evan Treese went 2-for-3 with an RBI and a walk. Eduard Fernandez went 1-for-2 with three runs scored and a walk .

The Falcons next travel to The Pennington School on Tuesday, March 31 at 4:30 p.m.

The Peddie varsity boys baseball team (2-0) defeated The Pennington School, 11-6, on the road. Eduard Fernandez hit a grand slam and went 3-for-4 with five RBI and two runs scored on the day. Haruo Narita went 1-for-4 with three RBI and a run scored. Brody Buchner went 1-for-2 with two RBI, a run scored and two walks. Jonathan Stizza went 2-for-4 with three runs scored, a double and a walk. Nick Famularo pitched 2.1 innings and Maverick Mullervy pitched 4.2 innings in the victory. The Falcons next travel to The Hun School of Princeton on Thursday, April 2 at 4:30 p.m.

The Peddie varsity boys baseball team (2-1) fell to The Hun School of Princeton, 4-3, on the road. Jonathan Stizza went 2-for-4 with two triples and two runs scored. Eduard Fernandez went 1-for-3 with an RBI, a run scored and a walk. Brody Buchner and Kadin Huling each went 1-for-3 with an RBI. Brody Buchner pitched six innings, allowing four runs (one earned), on four hits, struck out six and walked two. The Falcons next host Blair Academy in a home opener on Wednesday, April 8 at 4:30 p.m. at William M. Thompson ’35 Baseball Field.
