The foundation of any strong philanthropic community is broad participation. Everyone has a role in our community’s success.”
The Peddie Fund
We are Grateful to Our Peddie Fund Donors

A RECORD-BREAKING YEAR FOR THE PEDDIE FUND!
$2.6 million raised in 2023-2024
Thank you for helping us to accelerate our progress toward building a stronger version of Peddie and keeping Peddie steady in the years ahead.
5% OF REVENUE
The Peddie Fund supports 5% of our expenses.
Most of our peer schools have annual funds that fund 10% of their expenses. A stronger Peddie Fund will accelerate our progress toward building a stronger version of Peddie and enhance our ability to meet immediate needs without drawing extensively on the endowment. Every gift makes a difference!
INCREASED GIVING = INCREASED IMPACT
Right now, Peddie is working to provide a more competitive athletic program, access to the Signature Experience, support for off-campus trips and support for Robotics – all of which are not fully funded by the endowment and rely on increased support from The Peddie Fund each year. Your gifts to The Peddie Fund support increased staffing costs, travel opportunities and much-needed equipment. In the near future, we will likely have athletic field projects, dorm renovations and more.

A Message from Peddie's Head of School and Assistant Head for Development
Dear Friends,
We are deeply grateful to you for continuing to inspire and empower Peddie with your spirit of generosity.
As a community, that spirit is reflected in the way we live with purpose and share common values, friendships and laughter. It’s evident in our commitment to one another and in our drive to strengthen the communities around us. Our very own Ala Viva shines through the Peddie experience — one that truly changes lives for a lifetime.
Thank you for fueling that spirit. Last year, with gifts ranging from $1 to over $1 million, you and thousands of other donors helped raise $9.5 million, with 87% of donors supporting The Peddie Fund, the school’s highest priority. Donors established three new endowed funds and supported 53 of the 187 existing endowed funds. Remarkably, in FY25, 31% of donors increased their giving.
Over the past three decades, the endowment has been our largest source of funding beyond tuition, growing from $11 million to over $493 million — thanks to the generosity of many of you. The Peddie Fund has also grown significantly, from $527,838 in 1993 to $2.7 million in annual giving.
As we look to the future, one thing is clear: gifts to The Peddie Fund, endowment, and capital projects will be essential in shaping future possibilities. The Peddie Fund ensures that our shared commitment to excellence is not just an aspiration, but a lived experience — for every student, every day.
Together, we can build an even stronger culture of philanthropy and engagement at Peddie. Your partnership and generosity change trajectories and shape futures.
We’re truly grateful and deeply appreciate your support of this amazing community.

The Financial Picture: An Overview
The endowment and The Peddie Fund continue to have a transformative impact on the support Peddie
is able to provide current and future students, as well as faculty and staff.
During fiscal year 2024-25, Peddie continued to maintain its financial stability through a careful deployment of our resources towards initiatives that benefit the living and learning experience for our students. During fiscal year 2024–25, Peddie maintained financial stability by carefully directing resources toward initiatives that enhance the living and learning experience for our students. The year brought ongoing challenges, including food inflation, extreme geopolitical uncertainties, swings in financial markets and growing demand for financial assistance. In response, Peddie refined its spending priorities, implementing stronger cost-control measures while upholding our long-standing commitment to access. This work was guided by a Board-approved long-term financial plan, regularly tested against adverse economic conditions to ensure the school’s continued financial viability.
The importance of philanthropy to Peddie’s success cannot be overstated. Between July 1, 2024 and June 30, 2025, Peddie secured gifts of $6,947,774. Of this, $2,449,747 was directed to The Peddie Fund for current-use unrestricted support, and $4,498,027 went to a variety of endowed, capital and restricted funds.
Thanks to the generosity of past donors, endowment distributions this year made up a major source of operating revenues at 34.5% of the total, and current-use gifts to The Peddie Fund represented over 5% of revenues.
Each year, current-use unrestricted gifts to The Peddie Fund empower the school to stay agile, forward-thinking, and responsive to emerging needs. These gifts touch every corner of campus life including faculty salaries, financial aid, student life, athletics and the arts — ensuring that every student can have the full Peddie experience.
Peddie had a strong fiscal year 2025. Compared to fiscal 2024, the overall operating revenue increased by 2% to $46.2 million, while net tuition increased by 4% to $27.2 million. Rising personnel costs, higher food and utility prices caused our operating expenses to increase by 7% to $45.7 million.
Peddie’s endowment was valued on June 30, 2025 at a record high of $493 million. The endowment continues to be stewarded by an effective and engaged Investment Committee, which works with an external advisory partner to achieve diversification across asset classes, geographies and industries, and prudent risk management. The returns from the endowment alone contribute just over $30,000 per student and support one-third of our operating budget. Looking forward, achieving Peddie’s visionary strategic objectives will require continued fiscal prudence and significant new resources, including current-use unrestricted support.
