Eight out of eight Peddie wrestlers advanced to the quarterfinals. The team went 8-0 on the day.

Notable bonus points with three tech falls (Chris Horsch, Landon Lill, Massimo Sheinin) and five falls (Zane Shama, Ryan Horner, AJ Stover, Oliver Goodman and Augie Cassidy). Landon Lill competed in his first high school match.

The Falcons compete in the second and final day of the Pottstown Invitational at Pottstown High School on Saturday, Dec. 6 at 9 a.m.

The Peddie varsity wrestling team competed in the second and final day of the 2025-26 Pottstown Invitational at Pottstown High School. The Falcons placed second out of 24 teams and earned the runner-up trophy.

The Falcons next compete in the Beast of the East Wrestling Tournament from Saturday, Dec. 20 to Sunday, Dec. 21 at the University of Delaware.

Zane Shama (113 pounds), Ryan Horner (126 pounds), AJ Stover (132 pounds) and Landon Lill (138 pounds) of Peddie varsity wrestling competed at Beast of the East, at the University of Delaware. The Falcons went 5-8 on the weekend and over 200 schools competed. Lill went 2-2 during the event. The Falcons next compete in the Sam Cali Invitational from Saturday, Dec. 27 to Sunday, Dec. 28 at the Morristown National Guard Armory.

Six Falcons competed in the Sam Cali Invitational from Saturday, Dec. 27 to Sunday, Dec. 28 at the Morristown National Guard Armory. AJ Stover (132 pounds) placed fourth overall. Stover wrestled to a 3-2 overall record, knocking off the fifth seed along the way. He wrestled a tough match against the first seed in the semifinals and lost a close match to the third seed from Delbarton 4-2 to finish fourth overall. Augie Cassidy (215 pounds) and Ryan Horner (126 pounds) both made it to the quarterfinals. Zane Shama (113 pounds), Landon Lill (138 pounds) and Xzavier Torres (175 pounds) also competed. The Falcons next compete in the Bissell Tournament on Saturday, Jan. 10 at 7 p.m. at The Hill School.

The Peddie varsity wrestling team competed in the Bissell Tournament at The Hill School. The Falcons placed eighth out of 14 teams. The team wrestled over 65 matches and went 35-32 on the day.

AJ Stover went 3-1 and Landon Lill took second place defeating top-ranked opponents along the way. Stover’s only loss was to the ranked fourth overall for National Preps. Lill’s loss was to the fifth-ranked wrestler overall.

Ryan McRoberts, Xzavier Torres and Reed Oliver all went undefeated on the day in the JV division.

The Falcons next travel to Poly Prep Country Day School to face Poly Prep Country Day School and Long Island Lutheran in a tri-meet on Tuesday, Jan. 13 at 5 p.m.

Peddie varsity wrestling competed in the New Jersey/New York National Prep Qualifier at Blair Academy. The Falcons qualified nine wrestlers for the National Prep Wrestling Championships, which will take place from Friday, Feb. 20 to Saturday, Feb. 21 at Lehigh University.

The Peddie varsity wrestling team closed out the season and competed in the second of two days of the National Prep Wrestling Championships, at Lehigh University. Out of 281 recognized schools, the Falcons placed 21st overall, the team’s best finish in over a decade.

Zane Shama went 2-2 and closed out the season with a 24-18 record. AJ Stover and Ryan Horner each went 3-2 and both made it to the blood round finishing top 12 overall. Stover finished the season 39-10 overall and Horner tallied a 34-12 record.

Landon Lill went 6-2, finishing seventh overall and earning All-American status, Peddie’s first freshman to do so since 2007. He was one of nine freshmen in the entire tournament who placed.

On the girls side, captain Sarah Karlekar made it to the semifinals and was just one match shy of placing. Addie Collins had a notable performance going 2-2 on the weekend.
