Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need special permission or paperwork to enroll?
No. Anyone may register for our Honors Credit, Credit and Enrichment programs to learn a subject. However, students wishing to earn advancing credit from the Honors or Credit programs must obtain prior permission from their school or district.
Must I choose three courses for the Enrichment program?
Yes. The Enrichment program runs from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily and includes three courses and lunch. High school students may choose any available courses. Middle school students — who are not yet eligible for science — may choose from fitness, swim technique, or extra help sessions held after lunch.
- Fitness: Held in our state-of-the-art performance center under certified strength coach Zoe Necerato. Sessions are tailored to individual needs.
- Swim Technique: Conducted in the Aquatic Center to improve strength, fitness, and form.
- Extra Help: A supervised session to complete summer reading, school assignments, or daily homework so students can finish their day by 3 p.m.
Does the dining hall accommodate specific dietary needs?
Yes. Peddie Food Services (PFS) operates year-round and accommodates a wide variety of diets including vegan, vegetarian, kosher and halal as well as students with food allergies. Multiple options are available at every meal.
What is the daily schedule?
All students should be dropped off at the athletic center parking lot (155 Etra Road, Hightstown, N.J.) between 7:30 and 7:55 a.m. We encourage early arrival to avoid the 8 a.m. rush. Classes begin at 8 a.m. and run in one-hour periods.
| Program | Drop-Off | Lunch | Dismissal | Pick-up |
| Honors | 7:30–7:55 a.m. | 11:20 a.m. | 2:30 p.m. | 2:30–3 p.m. |
| Credit | 7:30–7:55 a.m. | 11:20 a.m. | 3 p.m. | 3–3:30 p.m. |
| Enrichment | 7:30–7:55 a.m. | Noon | 3 p.m. | 3–3:30 p.m. |
Note: Please be punctual. Any student remaining 15 minutes after their assigned pickup time will be moved to the extended day program, and fees will apply.
How does the extended day program work?
Available Monday through Thursday, the extended day program offers supervised activities or extra help until 5:30 p.m. There is no extended day on Fridays. Costs are as follows:
- Full Session (Honors/Credit – six weeks): $595
- Full Session (Enrichment – four weeks): $395
- Weekly Rate (one week): $100
- Daily Rate (one day): $30
Can my child miss days during the program?
While we discourage absences, we understand that absences are sometimes unavoidable.
- Enrichment: Attendance is at the parent’s discretion. Teachers cannot re-teach missed material during class, but students can use the extra help sessions during extended day to catch up.
- Credit/Honors Math: Students must meet a specific number of instructional hours to earn credit. Because these courses move quickly, students are responsible for all missed work. We recommend using extended day sessions for one-on-one help with missed concepts.
