In the early 1950s, a young boy named Michael Armellino arrived at Peddie after losing his father at the age of eight. The school became a turning point in his life, providing the education, community and confidence that shaped his future.
Decades later, successful investor and Peddie Trustee Emeritus Mike Armellino ’57 chose to give that opportunity back to future generations.
Established in 2013, the Armellino Scholars Program is one of the nation’s most generous boarding school merit scholarships. Open to all admitted students regardless of financial need, the program was created with a clear purpose: identify exceptional young people and invest fully in their potential.
Today, Mike remains deeply involved with the program, mentoring Scholars and maintaining relationships with alumni.
The Armellino Scholars Program is a relationship between Peddie, its most exceptional students and the alumnus whose own life was transformed here decades ago.
