There are so many opportunities that I can get here that I am not able to get anywhere else.
In this course students will learn the fundamental concepts in physics and then use those concepts to describe and predict events, natural or otherwise, by utilizing the mathematical relationships between motion, force, energy and time. AP Physics 1 is designed for students with strong aptitude for and interest in the sciences and who have strong ability in mathematics. AP Physics 1 is a survey course of the concepts of classical physics, including Newtonian Mechanics, Electricity, Waves, Sound and Light. This course provides a strong foundation for further study of physics in one of Peddie’s more advanced-level physics courses and also in coursework at the college level.
Note: Any student interested in taking AP Physics C should take Honors Physics if they meet the criteria OR they may take Physics and will need an A average to take AP Physics C in the future. Students taking this course are required to take the Honors Physics exam.
