Topics in College Chemistry
Terms: 3
Grades: 11, 12, PG
Topics in College Chemistry provides a more comprehensive overview of Chemistry that investigates topics not typical for our introductory chemistry course for freshmen. This course is designed for a student who is not able to take AP Chemistry, but plans to take science courses in college. After a brief review of freshmen chemistry, students will cover new topics such as gas laws, thermochemistry, colligative properties and equilibrium through inquiry-based learning. The format of the course revolves around hands-on applications of experimental chemistry.
Note: Students who took a previous Chemistry course can take this course. Sophomores who have not taken any chemistry should discuss which course to take with the Department Chair.
