Curriculum
Right from the start, our comprehensive college counseling program is designed to provide you with support and guidance. You’ll have a faculty advisor who will be your cheerleader and advocate, ensuring you have the resources and encouragement needed to succeed.
As you progress, towards the end of your sophomore year, you’ll be assigned an academic advisor. This advisor will study your academic profile, engage in discussions about your interests and plans, and help you chart an academic course that will not only help you explore your passions and test your boundaries but also ensure you are well-prepared for your future through our college prep program.
Designing your academic journey
We offer 150 courses and 34 subject areas, including numerous AP and honors options. Our math department provides a range of courses from fundamental algebra to advanced calculus classes. In addition, all first-year students all take the same humanities course, ensuring everyone starts off at the same level in history, writing and language. We believe that a foundation in the arts is critical, so every student spends their first year exploring classes in visual arts, music and theater.

Our advisors work closely with you to tailor your academic journey to your individual interests and goals, making sure you are not only meeting graduation requirements but also engaging in courses that inspire and challenge you.

Peddie has a three-term academic calendar. Not all courses are offered every term; various electives are offered based on course enrollment. Our curriculum is designed to provide a holistic education that prepares students for the challenges and opportunities of college and beyond.

The Signature Experience
Sometimes, your passions are greater than a classroom can contain. The Signature Experience at Peddie allows you to use the world as your classroom for independent, original work in collaboration with faculty mentors. You can work with experts in your chosen field and then return to campus to share your newfound expertise with the Peddie community.
