To conclude the season, Peddie varsity wrestling’s Ryan Horner (113 pounds), AJ Stover (126 pounds), Shantanu Pawale (138 pounds), John Maltez (165 pounds) and Connor Pawliczak (175 pounds) competed in the National Prep Wrestling Championships at Lehigh University – Stabler Arena. Addison Collins, Sara Karlekar and Amelia Kenney competed in the girls division.
AJ Stover (126 pounds) went 3-2. He finished in the top 12. Ryan Horner (113 pounds) went 2-2 and finished in the top 15. Addison Collins (120 pounds) went 2-2 in the girls division.
Wrestling – Varsity Coed at New Jersey / New York National Prep Qualifer
The Peddie varsity wrestling team competed in the New Jersey/New York National Prep Qualifier at Blair Academy
Ryan Horner (113 pounds), AJ Stover (126 pounds), Shantanu Pawale (138 pounds), John Maltez (165 pounds) and Connor Pawliczak (175 pounds) all placed second and qualified for the National Prep Wrestling Championships.
Addison Collins, Sara Karlekar and Amelia Kenney will compete in the girls National Prep Tournament.
The Falcons next close out the season and compete at the National Prep Wrestling Championships from Friday, Feb. 22 – Saturday, Feb. 23 at Lehigh University – Stabler Arena.
Wrestling – Varsity Coed vs. Hightstown High School
The Peddie varsity wrestling team (10-10) fell to Hightstown High School, 64-14, in a dual meet on Senior Day at home. Seniors Alex Baek-Nadell, Keaton Chien, Matthew Jung, John Maltez, Anay Mehta, Shantanu Pawale, Connor Pawliczak, Tamia Stafford (student-manager) and Jack Stewart were recognized for Senior Day.

The Peddie varsity wrestling team competed in the 2025 MAPL Wrestling Championships at Lawrenceville School. The Falcons went 2-2 on the day and placed third out of five teams. Peddie fell to The Hill School (48-35), defeated Lawrenceville School (55-22), defeated Mercersburg Academy (45-36) and fell to Blair Academy (74-0).
Several Falcons recorded multiple wins individually, including Zane Shama (106 pounds), Ryan Horner (113 pounds), AJ Stover (126 pounds), Jack Stewart (132 pounds), Massi Sheinin (150 pounds), John Maltez (165 pounds) and Connor Pawliczak (175 pounds).

The Peddie varsity wrestling team fell to Hamilton East-Steinert (68-9) and defeated Steinert-Holy Cross (51-22) in a tri-meet at Steinert High School. Ryan Horner (113 pounds) and Massi Sheinin (150 pounds) won both matches on the day.

Wrestling – Varsity Coed at Pine Barrens Duals
The Peddie varsity wrestling team (6-6) competed in the Pine Barrens Duals at Shawnee High School. The Falcons fell to Shawnee High School (72-6), High Point Regional (74-3) and Ridge (65-15). Ryan Horner went 2-1 on the day, with his only loss wrestling up a weight class at 120 pounds. He defeated Tanner Connelly of Ridge, ranked seventh in the state of New Jersey at 106 pounds, according to FloWrestling.
