A Shared Love

A Shared Love

The Woodroffe Family

Sean N. & Cindy P. Woodroffe P’19 and their son Nigel P. Woodroffe ’19 share a love of Peddie. With great appreciation for the impact of lifelong bonds formed and lessons learned at Peddie, they express their gratitude in several meaningful ways.

The Woodroffes are loyal supporters of The Peddie Fund. “The Peddie Fund is vital to the long-term sustainability of the school,” said Sean Woodroffe. “It ensures Peddie is well equipped to serve its mission, guided by its motto – as we finish our labors, we begin them anew.”

Nigel joins his parents in supporting and staying connected to Peddie; he especially enjoys it when his family hosts a Peddie World Tour event. “It makes me happy knowing I am bringing the Peddie community together in such a meaningful way,” Nigel said.

Nigel also recounted that he learned at Peddie how to manage his time effectively and prioritize tasks efficiently, particularly because of the amount of work assigned and the limited time to complete it while juggling the demands of varsity soccer. “This is a skill I currently use every day in my career in commercial banking and strategy,” he said.

In addition to the skills he learned at Peddie, a large measure of Nigel’s gratitude is rooted in the joy of moments with his teammates, including Blair Day 2018. With a huge audience of more than 1,000 people watching, Woodroffe, a four-year member of the varsity soccer team, scored a huge goal. It is a memory he holds with him to this day!

As a member of the Peddie Board of Trustees and participant in the Trustee Challenge, Sean Woodroffe’s experience has been fulfilling. “The level of dedication exhibited by my fellow trustees is unrivaled,” Sean said. “It is a highly collaborative board that is unified in supporting what is in the best interest of the Peddie community.”

The entire Woodroffe family joyfully opened their home a few years ago as gracious hosts of the inaugural Peddie World Tour event in Martha’s Vineyard. “We are deeply honored to be able to host Peddie World Tour events,” said Cindy Woodroffe. “Sharing our love and commitment to Peddie, and hearing wonderful stories from alumni who recalled their precious days as students is priceless. And, to be able to share these experiences in an informal setting reinforces the lifelong bond and commitment Peddie has to its community.”
