Carl E. Geiger, Charter Member
Geiger took over for John Plant and served as varsity boys basketball coach for 19 years. The 1928 team won its first 10 games. The 1934 team was undefeated in preparatory school competition. In 1937, Peddie joined the Eastern Private School League and the team went through a 17-game schedule undefeated to win the Eastern League Championship and become the acknowledged state champions. During the five years in which Peddie was a member of the league, the Gold and Blue never finished below second place. the league disbanded in 1941.
The 1942 team was also recognize as state champions, with only two losses. The 1944 and 1945 team were also recognized by the papers as state champions, the former losing only two games and the latter one game during the season.
