Phillip Hood

Philip Hood became Peddie’s third golf coach in 1943 and continued an outstanding golf program at Peddie. His 1945 team went through the season undefeated by any preparatory school team. In the 1950s, his teams captured the state championship title in 1950, ’51, ’55, ’56, ’57 and ’58. The 1957 and 58 teams also captured the Eastern Interscholastic Championships in Greenwich.
