Graphic Design and Illustration

Art is all around us not just on gallery walls. An artist designed the logo on your candy bar, the illustrations in your favorite comic book and even the signs on the subway. This project-based class will explore how to clearly and effectively communicate ideas through graphic design and illustration. We will explore logo-design, typography, simple animation, poster design, and illustration. We will create using photoshop, adobe illustrator, and digital drawing programs. The goal of this class is to develop the student’s ability to collaborate with a commercial client to visually communicate or enhance their brand, message, or story.
