There are so many opportunities that I can get here that I am not able to get anywhere else.
For Kamal Sinha ’92 P’28, Peddie has been far more than a school. As a student, he found a community where teachers, coaches and classmates invested deeply in who he was becoming, giving him a sense of belonging that built his confidence to take risks and grow into himself.
One lesson, in particular, has stayed with Sinha through the years. During a difficult academic stretch, his English teacher, Mr. Hill, reminded him that growth often happens in discomfort. That moment became a lasting lesson in resilience — one that taught him to lean into challenges rather than avoid them — and a mindset that continues to guide him today.
Athletics also played a defining role in Sinha’s Peddie experience. Being part of a team created a sense of pride and connection that extended well beyond the court. Through sports, he learned the value of showing up for others, persevering through difficult moments and celebrating shared success.
“Knowing that our support will help create opportunities for students we may never meet is incredibly meaningful. Being able to contribute to that future feels both humbling and energizing.”
Now a current Peddie parent, Sinha sees those same transformative experiences unfolding for a new generation, especially as he watches his son thrive. “Peddie gives students the confidence to discover who they are and what they care about,” he said. “It’s an environment where curiosity is encouraged, individuality is respected and support is always within reach.”
Sinha’s connection to and gratitude for the school has grown even stronger through service on the Peddie Parent Association (PPA) Executive Committee, first as a vice president and now as president. His engagement motivates his family to give back through both The Peddie Fund and the stadium renovation project.
“We support The Peddie Fund because it directly strengthens the student experience in ways that matter every single day,” he explained. “My own life was shaped by those opportunities, and I want today’s students to benefit just as deeply.”
For Sinha, the stadium renovation represents something larger than a facility upgrade. “A modern stadium will bring new energy to campus,” he stated. “It will be a place for big moments, shared memories and traditions like Blair Day. I can already imagine the pride students will feel when they step onto that field.”
Today, as an alumnus, parent, volunteer and donor, he sees his support as part of something much bigger than himself: a lasting legacy that will shape the Peddie experience for generations to come. “Knowing that our support will offer transformative experiences and help create opportunities for students we may never meet is incredibly meaningful,” he reflected. “Being able to contribute to that future feels both humbling and energizing.”
